‘List of 51’ women who entered Sabarimala: Kerala government accused of lying to Supreme Court

Kerala government was slammed for sharing private details of 51 women who had entered Sabarimala. It has also been accused of lying to the Supreme Court as many women denied entering the holy shrine.

New Delhi: The Pinarayi Vijayan-led Kerala government sparked row when it shared private details of 51 women it claimed had offered prayers at Sabarimala. The note was submitted by the state government to the Supreme Court today which claimed that as many as 51 women under 50 entered the holy shrine after the apex court quashed the centuries-old tradition that blocked the entry of women in the temple.
